Repairing the Old Door From Stone House

As we don’t have a safe place to store the tools and supplies on the Finca, we are going to be using the car as a temporary storage facility before repairing the old door from stone house.

This article is about the beginning of the process of restoring the old wooden door. Once this repair is done, we can safely store and keep the tools on the Finca.

I brought with me some of the tools and power tools I will use to start the restoring and repairing the wooden door. Using a hammer and chisel I will remove the old nails, the old hinges and the lock from the door.

Because the wood from the old door is rotten and fragile in some parts, I will have to use a sheet of plywood to reinforce the planks and this way the old door will be restored strong and robust.
