We are Bringing a 300-Year-Old Wooden Door Back to Life

Reading time: 1 minute

This article is about repairing the old wooden door from the stone house. Once this repair is done, we can safely store and keep the tools at out abandoned farm in Spain.

As we don’t have a safe place to store the tools, we are using the car as a temporary storage facility.

I brought with me some of the tools and power tools I will use to start the restoring and repairing the wooden door. Using a hammer and chisel I will remove the old nails, the old hinges and the lock from the door.

Because the wood from the old door is rotten and fragile in some parts, I will have to use a sheet of plywood to reinforce the planks and this way the old door will be restored strong and robust.
